Maharashtra Election Survey: Maharashtra assembly elections can be held after Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir elections. The Election Commission has recently announced elections in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, while elections are not being held in Maharashtra right now due to festivals. This time in Maharashtra, there is a contest between Mahayuti which includes BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde), NCP (Ajit Pawar) and Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA), which includes Congress, Sharad Pawar’s NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT). A fresh survey related to Maharashtra has come out, in which BJP seems to be becoming the largest party.
According to Times Now and Matrise survey, BJP is expected to get the maximum 25.8 percent votes in Maharashtra, while Congress can get 18.6 percent votes. Apart from this, Shinde’s Shiv Sena is expected to get 14.2 percent votes, NCP Ajit Pawar faction is expected to get 5.2 percent votes. Whereas, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena is expected to get 17.6 percent votes, Sharad Pawar’s NCP is expected to get 6.2 percent votes. Apart from this, 12.4 percent votes can go to others.
In the survey, BJP is emerging as the largest party. In the Maharashtra Assembly of total 288 seats, BJP can get maximum 95-105 seats. Shiv Sena (Shinde) is likely to get 19-24 seats, NCP (Ajit Pawar) 7-12 seats. Apart from this, Congress is expected to get 42-47 seats in MVA, Shiv Sena (UBT) 26-31, Sharad Pawar’s NCP 23-28 seats. Others can get 11-16 seats. The majority figure in Maharashtra is 145 seats. Even if the maximum seats received by Mahayuti in the survey are added, it is likely to get only 141 seats, that is, it may remain far from the majority. At the same time, MVA is expected to get maximum 122 seats in the survey.
What were the results of the last assembly elections?
During the last assembly elections in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena and BJP were together. At that time, there was no split between Shiv Sena and NCP. Then BJP got 105 seats, while Shiv Sena got 56. Apart from this, NCP won 53 and Congress won 44 seats. At the same time, AIMIM won two seats and Raj Thackeray’s MNS won one seat. However, after the announcement of the election results, Shiv Sena left BJP due to the dispute over the post of Chief Minister and formed the government with Congress, NCP and then Uddhav Thackeray became the Chief Minister. However, after about two and a half years, there was a split in Shiv Sena and with the help of BJP, Eknath Shinde became the new Chief Minister of the state.
