Major operation in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces killed three terrorists in an encounter

Before the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the army and police have jointly carried out a major operation. Today, the Indian Army’s special forces and Jammu and Kashmir Police killed three terrorists in a successful operation in Kathua district. According to sources, this operation is still going on.

This operation involves 1 Parachute Battalion of Indian Army, 22 Garhwal Rifles and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Security forces took action against the terrorists and during this three terrorists were killed. It is worth mentioning that the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases. Which will start from 18 September. Security forces have carried out this operation to ensure security in the area before the elections.

Last month, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had released sketches of four terrorists who were seen in ‘dhoks’ (mud houses) in the high-altitude areas of Kathua district. The police had announced a cash reward of Rs 20 lakh for anyone providing credible information about them.

Let us tell you that on July 8, terrorists carried out a deadly attack on an army patrol in the remote forest area of ​​Machedi in Kathua district. Five soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were martyred in this attack.

Despite a massive search operation, the Kashmir Tigers terrorists affiliated to the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit are yet to be nabbed. They had infiltrated into India from Pakistan. In a post on Twitter, the police released sketches of four terrorists who were last seen in the ‘Dhok’ of Malhar, Bani and Sojdhar forests in the upper reaches of the district.

Sharing the information, Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua, Anayat Ali said that the police have released sketches of four terrorists who were last seen in Malhar, Bani and Siozdhar. Kathua Police said in its post, “… There is a reward of Rs 5 lakh on each terrorist for actionable information. Anyone giving reliable information about terrorists will also be given a suitable reward.”
