Gaya MP and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi stayed away from the Chief Minister’s review meeting regarding the inauguration of the path way and Pitru Paksha in Gaya. Although his name was inscribed on all the stone plaques. When asked about this issue, he said that I had declared the Pitru Paksha fair as a state fair during my tenure as Chief Minister.
Considering the importance of the Pitru Paksha fair, there was a continuous demand from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to declare it an international fair. But it could not be fulfilled till date. Similarly, the electric crematorium built at a cost of Rs 5 crores at Gaya Vishnupad crematorium has been lying unused for the last five years. The demand for improvement in this too has not been fulfilled.
Even today, the Gangajal Yojana is not being used properly in Gaya. A huge amount was spent in the name of Gangajal. But it is not being used properly. The rubber dam is also not being used properly. Manjhi said that if the media friends had asked questions in this program, what would I have answered. This is the reason why I thought it better not to attend the program.
He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very determined towards the development of Gaya. Whatever demands I am making to him, he is always fulfilling them. Earlier on Friday, Manjhi did not attend the inauguration program of the Super Specialty Hospital in Gaya. However, he had wished for it.
