Many big leaders of Jharkhand have left JMM in the past, one of them even became CM thrice

There are speculations that former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren may join the BJP. In political circles, JMM is often called the school of Jharkhand politics. This is because many leaders, after learning the political tricks in this school of politics, gave a new dimension to their political career by turning to other parties as soon as they got the opportunity. Many leaders succeeded in this and became stalwarts in Jharkhand politics.

Many big leaders have left JMM

Krishna Mardi is one of them. Krishna Mardi, who was one of the strong leaders of JMM in Kolhan region, has been a JMM MP, but a time came when he left the party. Apart from him, former minister Dulal Bhuiyan, former MLA Kunal Shadangi, former MP Suraj Mandal, Hemlal Murmu, strong JMM leader of Santhal Simon Marandi, Stephen Marandi left JMM and sought new horizons of politics in other parties. Apart from this, Arjun Munda’s name is the biggest among those leaders who maintained their political stature despite staying away from JMM. Munda started his political life with JMM.

One of them became CM thrice

Arjun Munda, who was elected to Bihar Assembly from Kharsawan seat on JMM ticket in 1995, became Chief Minister of Jharkhand thrice after joining BJP and was also a minister at the Centre. His political stature is still intact. Similarly, after leaving JMM, Vidyutvaran Mahto won the Lok Sabha elections thrice. Shailendra Mahto, who was a JMM MP, will also be considered successful, because after joining BJP, he was successful in getting his wife Abha Mahto elected to Lok Sabha on BJP ticket. However, he himself did not get any special success in BJP. The latest example is Sita Soren, who was a three-time MLA from Jama Assembly seat, who joined BJP before the Lok Sabha elections.
