MCD Election 2022: AAP releases first list of 134 candidates – Fast Hindi News

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday released the first list of 134 candidates for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections.

Elections for 250 wards across Delhi will be held on December 4 and the counting of votes will take place on December 7.

The names were announced after a long meeting of the party’s political affairs committee. There are more than 60 women candidates in the list.

“Ninety percent of the tickets have been given to AAP workers working at the grassroots level, as reported by news agency PTI,” the party said in a statement.

More than 20,000 workers had applied for tickets to contest the MCD elections.

During the day, the party released its list of 30 star campaigners for the upcoming elections.

The list includes names of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and others.

Others in the list include Sanjay Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Harpal Singh Cheema, Gopal Rai, Durgesh Pathak and Atishi Marlena.
