MCD Polls: AAP released second list of candidates, CM Kejriwal asked questions to BJP

New Delhi. In view of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, the Aam Aadmi Party released its second list of candidates on late Saturday night. In the second list, AAP has released the names of 117 candidates. The party released its first list of 134 candidates on Friday for the elections to 250 wards.

Earlier, Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal had challenged the BJP to tell the people five things that it has done in the MCD in the last 15 years. He said, “Forget five things, tell only two things, which he has done in MCD. They only hold press conferences and abuse Arvind Kejriwal round the clock. They called me a traitor, terrorist, Khalistani and what not. What kind of politics is this?”

Election will be decided on December 8
The election of the 250-seat Municipal Corporation of Delhi will be decided on December 8. The process of filing nominations for the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections had started from 7th November. Nominations for this will be done till November 14. According to the information, till November 19, the candidates can withdraw their names. Voting for MCD will be held on December 4. The counting of votes will take place on December 7. This is the first civic body election after the new delimitation of the Municipal Corporation in Delhi. The election is being held for 250 wards. This time 22 wards have been reduced in the Delhi MCD elections. Last time in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, polling was held on 272 wards.

To whom BJP will give ticket
On the other hand, BJP also released the first list of 232 candidates on Saturday for the election of 250 wards. The party said in a statement that the remaining 18 candidates would be announced later. Congress and AAP have also released the list of ward candidates. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on whom the BJP gives tickets to and from where. BJP’s Delhi unit general secretary Harsh Malhotra said that after the approval of the party’s national president JP Nadda, the names of 232 candidates have been announced.
