Meeting of opposition parties at Congress President Kharge’s residence, Uddhav faction’s Shiv Sena decided not to participate

New Delhi: Speaking to news agency ANI, Shiv Sena leader of Uddhav Thackeray faction Sanjay Raut said that his party has decided not to attend the meeting at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence today. His party told that they are angry with Congress leader and former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi’s comment on ‘Savarkar’. In fact, Rahul Gandhi, when BJP leaders apologized for his remarks against PM Modi, said- ‘I am not Savarkar, I am Gandhi’.

It is known that Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has invited leaders of opposition floor of like-minded parties for a meeting at his residence in Delhi tonight. But the Shiv Sena-side of the Uddhav faction has refused to participate in his meeting. Party leader Sanjay Raut told that Rahul Gandhi has insulted Veer Savarkar. That’s why Shiv Sena will not participate in the meeting of Congress President.

After Rahul Gandhi’s statement on Savarkar, a stir has started in the politics of Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray faction in Maharashtra have targeted Rahul Gandhi since Rahul Gandhi’s statement “My name is not Savarkar…”. Uddhav Thackeray has also given a statement, ‘I want to tell Rahul Gandhi that we have come together, it is true, we have come together to save democracy and constitution in this country.’
