Mumbai: Milind Deora, who left Congress and joined Shiv Sena, has given a big statement. Deora said that today my 55-year relationship with Congress is coming to an end. Today is an emotional day for me. I never thought that I would separate from Congress. But today it happened. He said that if Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Congress party had given opportunity to merit, both of us would not have been here today. He said that whatever we did, we were forced to do it.

‘I have to strengthen the hands of Eknath Shinde’

Milind Deora said that today Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is available to everyone and I have to strengthen his hands. I have to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through Shiv Sena. Deora said that I have been with Congress during its most difficult days. But if I am not there today, the reason behind this is also the Congress party. Deora said that there is a world of difference between the Congress that was there during my father’s time in 1967 and the Congress that was there in the year 2004.

‘I will work for the bright future of Maharashtra and the country’

He said that the biggest achievement of the Modi government at the Center is that there has not been a single attack in Mumbai. Whereas before this, terrorist attacks used to take place in our city every day. He said that I assure all Shiv Sainiks that I will work together with you. I will work for the bright future of Maharashtra and the country.

Eknath Shinde welcomed Deora

After giving membership of Shiv Sena to Milind Deora, Eknath Shinde said that some operations are such that even a needle should not be pricked and the work should be done. The Chief Minister said that I am not a doctor but I can say with great confidence that the operation was done and not even a single stitch had to be put. He said that Balasaheb Thackeray and Murli Deora had similar thoughts. Both the leaders worked for the bright future of Maharashtra and today I am happy that two people who share their ideas have come together.
