Srikakulam. We all have heard many stories of ‘Shravan Kumar’. People still give examples of devotion and love towards their mother and father. But can you imagine that one who thinks like ‘Shravan Kumar’ or like him and loves parents can be in this modern era. Seeing the thinking of a man from Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and his attachment to his mother, today everyone is telling him the ‘Shravan Kumar’ of the modern era.

According to ANI, Shravan Kumar, a resident of Srikakulam district who shares the same name as a hero from the mythology of Ramayana. He is building a temple in the memory of his deceased mother. The construction of this temple was started by Shravan in the year 2019. He has resolved to install the idol of his late mother, carved out of a single stone, inside the temple.

Shravan has hired laborers from Bihar to make and carve the idols in this temple. These laborers are responsible for completing the construction of the temple. Speaking to ANI on Thursday, Shravan Kumar said that ‘I used to love my mother but lost her a few years back. I wanted to build a temple in his memory. For this I have hired laborers from Bihar. Its work started in the year 2019. The idol of my mother will be six feet and will be carved out of a single stone.

A sculptor involved in the work of making the idol told that it will take two more years to complete this work. He said that ‘I have been working here for four months. I have sculpture work. I have been tasked to complete it within two years. Our team is working in full force. It may take more than two years to complete, but it is our endeavor to complete it within the time limit.
