Mohan Yadav’s retort to Priyanka’s attack on ‘Bulldozer Justice’, said- no one is above the law

Retaliating to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s attack on the demolition of the mansion of an accused in the case of stone pelting on Chhatarpur police station in Madhya Pradesh, state Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that no person is above the law. He said that the government is working according to constitutional norms.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday said no one is above the law and the government is working as per constitutional norms after Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra raised questions over ‘bulldozer justice’ in Chhatarpur district. In fact, the administration demolished the house of Shahzad Ali for his alleged involvement in stone pelting on a police station during a protest called by the Muslim community. Several policemen were injured due to stone pelting by the mob.

When asked about Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s post, Chief Minister Yadav told reporters, “All I have to say is that no person is above the law. There is rule of law. The government is taking action under constitutional provisions against those who break the law.” Yadav said that construction work should be done only after taking proper approval. If you do not take the necessary approval for construction activity and become synonymous with terror in various ways, then the administration is also free to do its work. In such a situation, the administration will do what is necessary.

Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that ‘bulldozer justice’ is completely unacceptable and should be stopped. Priyanka said that if someone is accused of a crime, then only the court can decide his crime and punishment. But demolishing the house of the accused as soon as the allegation is made is not justice. She said that the one who cannot fulfill ‘rajdharma’ can neither work for the welfare of the society nor the country. Bulldozer justice is completely unacceptable, it should be stopped.

Ramgiri Maharaj had allegedly made objectionable remarks against Islam during a religious program in Shah Panchale village of Sinnar taluka in Nashik district of Maharashtra a few days ago. In protest against this, people of the Muslim community had organized a protest in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, which turned violent. Four policemen were injured in this and the mob also damaged several vehicles.

An official said that the house of Shahzad Ali, which comes under Kotwali police station, has been demolished. A case has been registered against 150 people for the violence that took place on Wednesday. A case has been registered against 46 people by name.
