Mossad sometimes turned a mobile phone into a bomb, and sometimes the phone itself; Hamas commander died as soon as he picked up his father’s call

In 1972 and 1996, Mossad had similarly turned communication devices, i.e. phones and mobiles, into bombs and destroyed its enemies using them. Mossad had then carried out a horrific operation to take revenge from the Palestine Liberation Organization for the killing of 11 Israeli players in the Munich Olympics in September 1972.

While the terrorist group is in panic due to the series of blasts in the pagers of Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon, the secret operation of Israel and its intelligence agency Mossad is being discussed all over the world. On Tuesday, the pagers of Hezbollah fighters were hacked and serial blasts were carried out in many cities of Lebanon, in which 9 people have died so far, while more than three thousand people have been injured. Hezbollah has directly blamed Israel for this incident and warned of facing dangerous consequences.

On the other hand, Israel has not yet taken responsibility for this attack. Hezbollah would have hardly thought that the enemy can cause a blast in even 100 gram pagers. To avoid the danger of mobile location being tracked, Hezbollah terrorists were using pagers from the 1990s to establish communication. However, this is not the first time that Mossad has used communication equipment as a weapon to destroy its enemies.

Earlier in 1972 and 1996, Mossad had similarly turned communication devices i.e. phones and mobiles into bombs and destroyed its enemies through them. First, it was in September 1972 when Mossad carried out a horrific operation to take revenge from Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) for the killing of 11 Israeli players in Munich Olympics. Then Mossad’s intelligence agents cleverly changed the phone of PLO representative Mahmoud Hamshari in Paris. The date was 8 December. As soon as Mahmoud Hamshari picked up the phone, the Israeli team detonated the explosives fitted in the phone, due to which Hamshari was badly injured. One of his legs had to be amputated and he died a few days later.

In another similar secret operation, Mossad killed Hamas commander Yahya Ayyash in 1996. Ayyash was an expert in making bombs and was accused of killing dozens of Israelis. He was killed by Mossad through a mobile bomb. Mossad agents first reached Yahya Ayyash’s hideout and then, seeing an opportunity, delivered a Motorola phone to him, in which 50 grams of explosives were hidden. Ayyash used that phone very carefully. One day, as soon as his father’s phone came and he received the call, Mossad agents blew it up and Yahya Ayyash’s game was over.
