Mukesh Ambani offered prayers at Guruvayur temple in Kerala, donated 1.51 crores for Annadanam

New Delhi. Reliance Industries Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani on Saturday visited and offered prayers at the famous Guruvayur temple in Kerala dedicated to Lord Krishna. He was accompanied by his younger son Anant Ambani’s fiancee Radhika Merchant. According to temple officials, Mukesh Ambani made a check of Rs 1.51 crore as a kannika (offering) to be used for Annadanam (food of the devotees) as a donation.

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, offered ghee to the temple’s sopanam (inner sanctum) and offered prasad to the temple’s elephants, Chanthamrakshan and Balaraman. The officials of the Guruvayur Devaswom Board welcomed Mukesh Ambani to the temple and presented him with a mural as a token of appreciation.

Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani was accompanied by his younger son Anant Ambani’s fiancee Radhika Merchant.

Dr. VK Vijayan, Chairman, Guruvayur Devaswom Board said, “After visiting Guruvayur temple, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani handed over a check in the form of Kanika (gift). When I opened it, it was a check for Rs 1.51 crore. This is the highest amount given by a devotee to the Guruvayur temple. He expressed his interest to use it for Annadanam (food for the devotees) in the temple.
