Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha has heated up the atmosphere by accusing Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) president and former minister Mukesh Sahni of selling tickets for money. Deputy CM Vijay Sinha alleged that Mukesh Sahni, who calls himself the son of Mallah, did not give tickets to Mallahs and made them candidates to contest elections by taking money. On this, Sahni’s party VIP spokesperson Dev Jyoti has questioned the development of Vijay Sinha’s family medicine business and said that after he had a quarrel with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Assembly, he used to go to the House wearing diapers.
Vijay Sinha had said in Patna on Wednesday- “He is a professional man, he has come from Mumbai, he used to call himself Son of Mallah but he did not give ticket to even a single Mallah. Whom did he give all the seats to, who gave the goods.” Pointing to Mukesh Sahni eating fish and other things in the helicopter with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, Vijay Sinha had said that Mukesh Sahni made friends with Tejashwi, who was born with a golden spoon, and both celebrate birthdays and picnics on chartered planes.
Praising Nitish Kumar, Vijay Sinha had said that Nitish Kumar never enjoyed picnics on chartered planes. He regularly visits districts and reviews departments, and is alert to run the government with full alertness. He had said that those who are in a hurry are sometimes looking for excuses of age, sometimes of illness, sometimes of anarchy, crime and corruption. Nitish has never been in favour of crime and corruption. There is no doubt that as long as he is the CM, he is working honestly with the spirit of serving the people.” He said that Nitish has learnt good governance from the school of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
VIP’s national spokesperson Dev Jyoti has given a controversial statement on Vijay Sinha on the allegation of selling tickets on Mukesh Sahni. He said that when Nitish reprimanded Vijay while he was the speaker in the assembly, after that he used to go to the assembly wearing diapers. He said- “When Nitish Kumar was getting rid of the scoundrels in the assembly, after that he used to go to the assembly wearing diapers. Mukesh Sahni is standing on his feet after struggling and raising the voice of the Nishad community. Mukesh Sahni does not have a medicine business like you. Where was your shop 15 years ago, where is it today. ED-CBI is keeping an eye on him. It does not take time for the power to change.”
Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP got the seat and the account of Sahni candidate
Mukesh Sahni’s party contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the first time when he was with the Grand Alliance. VIP got three seats in which a total of two candidates including Mukesh were Sahni. In the 2020 assembly elections, Mukesh was with the NDA and he got 11 seats. There were only 2 candidates Sahni in it. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Grand Alliance again gave him three seats in which none of the candidates were Sahni. Mukesh Sahni contested the 2019 and 2020 elections but lost. Mukesh was made a minister by making him an MLC by the NDA government, but after fighting against the BJP in the UP elections, both things were taken away.
