Musheer Khan out of danger…hospital issues first statement after car accident

Musheer Khan became a victim of a car accident in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. He was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow after being injured. His neck was badly injured. The 19-year-old all-rounder was going to Lucknow for the Irani Cup match. The Irani Cup match is to be played between Rest of India (ROI) and Mumbai at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, which will be held from 1 to 5. Now the hospital has issued the first statement regarding Mumbai’s emerging cricketer Musheer. He is out of danger.

“Mushir Khan, who was injured in a road accident on Purvanchal Expressway on September 27 at 8 pm, was brought to the emergency department of Medanta Hospital due to neck problem,” the hospital said in a statement on Saturday. He is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director of Orthopedics Department. Right now his condition remains stable. He is out of danger.” It is not clear at the moment when batsman Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer will be able to make a comeback.

Musheer’s injury is being considered a big blow for Mumbai. He may be out of the Irani Cup match as well as the initial round of Ranji Trophy starting from October 11. He recently made a lot of headlines by playing an inning of 181 runs in Duleep Trophy 2024. So far in his career, he has scored 716 runs in 9 first class matches at an average of 51.14, which includes three centuries and one half-century. He has also taken eight wickets. He also performed brilliantly in the Under-19 World Cup.
