My lord, the husband is not letting me eat french fries, do something; the wife went to the High Court with a complaint; what was the judge’s answer

Fights between husband and wife are a common occurrence, but sometimes these fights can become so serious that the matter reaches the police station. Usually in these types of cases, there are big and serious reasons due to which people take recourse to law. However, recently a strange incident has come to light, in which a wife stepped on the threshold of Karnataka High Court with a complaint against her husband due to a minor and almost ridiculous reason.

Recently a strange case has come to light in Bangalore which has shocked the legal world as well. Here a woman has filed a police complaint against her husband under domestic violence, but the reason behind it is quite unusual. The woman alleged that her husband did not allow her to eat French fries.

The woman says that her husband had advised her not to eat French fries as it is a nutritious diet during pregnancy, which angered her and she filed a case under domestic violence. The woman claims that her husband stopped her from eating French fries made from Bangladeshi potatoes, for which she lodged a complaint at the police station.

The matter also reached the Karnataka High Court, where the husband called the allegations made by the wife baseless and demanded the case to be dismissed. While hearing the case, Justice M. Nagaprasanna said that it is not appropriate to register a case in such cases. The Justice remarked that if the husband prevents his wife from eating certain foods keeping in mind her health, then it is inappropriate to register a case of domestic violence.

The court ruled in favour of the woman’s husband and ordered a stay on all charges. Justice Nagaprasanna also said that it is not right to approach the police station for such trivial reasons.
