New Delhi. As the election for the post of Congress National President is approaching, it is getting interesting. The entry of first Ashok Gehlot, Digvijay Singh and then Mallikarjun Kharge surprised the people. It was believed that there would be a direct contest between Kharge and Shashi Tharoor. But, now such a leader has decided to contest the election, about which no one had any idea. Now former Jharkhand government minister KN Tripathi will also contest the election of Congress President.
Tripathi filed his nomination on Friday in New Delhi. After filing his nomination, he said, “I have filed my nomination for the post of party president today. Whatever the decision of the party leaders will be respected.” Significantly, Tripathi was in the Air Force before joining politics. He left the army job and entered politics in the year 2005. He contested from Daltonganj seat for the first time on a Congress ticket. Here he lost to Inder Singh Namdhari. In 2009, Congress again gave him a ticket from Daltonganj seat. This time he won. After becoming an MLA, he was made the Minister of Rural Development in the state government.
Tripathi belongs to farmer family
In 2014, KN Tripathi again contested the assembly elections on a Congress ticket. This time he was defeated by JVM candidate Alok Chaurasia by 5000 votes. It is said that Alok got sympathy votes due to the death of his father. After becoming MLA, Alok Chaurasia joined BJP. Let us tell you, KN Tripathi, a resident of Redma Kashi Nagar locality of Daltonganj, belongs to a farmer family. He was born on 3 April 1972 in Tolra village of his maternal grandmother Bishrampur.
One meeting changed life
Tripathi did his early studies from Dasmesh Model School in Daltonganj. After this he passed the matriculation examination from the district school. Intermediate and Graduation from Daltonganj GLA College. Later KN Tripathi joined the Air Force. After posting in Bangalore and Suratgarh, he left the army job. And got into politics. Significantly, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October 2000, Krishnanand Tripathi attended a meeting. From this meeting, he moved towards politics. His father Pandit Jag Narayan Tripathi was a farmer. The former minister has two children, Namrata and Tejashwini Krishna Tripathi.
