Apart from the Afghanistan Cricket Board, news agency ANI has also shared the video of the team arriving at Delhi airport.
Rashid Khan, who is suffering from a back injury, will not play this Test match against New Zealand. In his absence, Hasmatullah Shahidi will lead the Afghanistan team. The Afghanistan team has been practicing in India since August 28.
This will be Afghanistan’s 10th Test match and their first against New Zealand since gaining Test status in 2017.
Afghanistan have registered three wins in their nine Test matches so far, defeating teams like Ireland (2019), Bangladesh (2019) and Zimbabwe (2021). Meanwhile, New Zealand will also play the ICC World Test Championship series in India in October.
