‘Nine weapons’ will be the death of Sanjay Roy, CBI has got important evidence against the accused in Kolkata case

Kolkata Rape Murder Case: CBI is investigating the case of rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. At present, polygraph test of the main accused and six others has been done. Kolkata Police has seized 53 items in this case. Among these, there are nine items which will prove to be very important weapons against the main accused Sanjay Roy. These include things like Sanjay Roy’s clothes, undergarments and sandals worn at the time of crime. Apart from this, the location of the phone tower can also play a very important role. According to this, Sanjay Roy was present in the seminar hall of RG Kar Hospital at the time of the incident on August 9.

Sanjay Roy’s bike and his helmet have also been kept as evidence. CBI sources said on Sunday that forensic reports may come within a week. These reports are going to play a very important role in this case. On August 9, the State Forensic Science Library collected a total of 40 important evidences from the crime scene between 8.30 and 10.45 pm. The entire process was videotaped in the presence of local witnesses. Many doctors were also present during this time. Data extracted from Sanjay Roy’s mobile was also taken to the court as digital evidence. Footage from two CCTVs installed in the hospital, number eight and number 16, also shows that Sanjay Roy is present in the hospital premises. These have also been presented as evidence.

Apart from this, the rest of the evidence has been collected by the fingerprint and footprint experts of the Detective Department of the Scientific Wing. The medical reports of the main accused, which include the injury marks on his left cheek, left hand and left thigh, will also be presented as evidence of his involvement in the incident. At the same time, the blood stains found at the crime scene and Roy’s blood sample have also matched. This will also be very important in terms of forensic analysis. Kolkata Police has been asked to preserve the CCTV footage from the traffic control room and the bank located in Shyambazar. According to sources, CBI will present these footages in the court along with the charge sheet.
