NITI Aayog meeting today, PM Modi will preside, Chief Ministers of 6 states including Delhi-Bengal-Bihar kept distance

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the eighth Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog today. In which many issues including health, skill development, women empowerment and infrastructure development will be discussed with the aim of making India a developed nation by 2047. The Governing Council is the apex body of NITI Aayog, which includes all chief ministers, lieutenant governors of union territories and several central ministers. PM Modi is the chairman of NITI Aayog. NITI Aayog said in a statement that ‘NITI Aayog will hold its 8th Governing Council meeting on May 27, 2023 on the theme ‘Developed India @ 2047: Role of Team India’.

The NITI Aayog statement said that as the world’s fifth largest economy and most populous country, India is on its economic growth path. Where it can achieve rapid growth in the next 25 years. However, according to media reports, the Chief Ministers of 6 states including Delhi-Bengal-Bihar have distanced themselves from this meeting.
