New Delhi: It is raining in many parts of the country. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR has also been receiving continuous rain for several days. Rain has been recorded in many districts of UP as well. Apart from this, it is also raining in Himachal Pradesh and many states of the Northeast. The Meteorological Department has not predicted any relief from the rain. Many areas of Delhi have been waterlogged due to rain, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. Similar conditions prevail in all the states across the country.
Orange alert in Delhi
The capital Delhi recorded the cleanest air so far this year on Friday. According to the Meteorological Department, ‘Yellow Alert’ was in force in the city till Friday afternoon, which has now been changed to ‘Orange Alert’. On Friday, 54 mm of rain was recorded in the city’s Palam, while the primary weather station at Safdarjung recorded 30.9 mm of rain in three hours between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm. With this, the total rainfall in the capital has reached 1,000 mm and the monsoon is still active. The Meteorological Department has advised people to find out about the traffic conditions on their route before leaving for their destination and follow the traffic advisory issued. The Meteorological Department has predicted cloudy skies and light rain on Saturday.
Many roads closed due to rain in Himachal
On the other hand, a total of 31 roads have been closed for traffic due to the ongoing rain in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of moderate flood danger in some parts of Shimla and Sirmaur districts till Saturday. SEOC said that electricity and water supply have also been affected due to rain in the state. According to the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC), maximum 10 roads are closed in Kangra, seven in Mandi, five in Sirmaur district, four in Shimla, three in Kullu and one each in Kinnaur and Bilaspur districts.

Apart from this, according to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in northwestern Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At the same time, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive light to moderate rain with some heavy rain at one or two places. At the same time, light to moderate rains may occur in some parts of UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka. Apart from this, light rain is expected in Haryana, East Gujarat, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and North East India.
