On Wednesday, a passenger train collided with an old iron rail placed in the middle of the track in Botad, Gujarat. It is suspected that someone had placed it with the intention of sabotage. Thankfully, no one was injured in this accident that happened in the morning. Police said that after the accident, the train had to stop there for several hours.
Giving information about the incident, Botad Superintendent of Police Kishor Baloliya said – Okha-Bhavnagar passenger train (19210) passing through Ranpur police station area of ​​Botad district collided with a four-foot long piece of old rail kept on the track next to the cement sleepers at around 3 am.
The Superintendent of Police said- The train collided with the iron rail placed in the middle of the track. After this, it was stopped there for several hours. The local police personnel got information about the incident at around 7:30 in the morning. After this, the police team reached the spot and investigation was started. This incident happened about two kilometers away from Kundli railway station.
According to the police investigating the incident, it appears to be a case of sabotage or an attempt to cause damage, but investigations are ongoing. This incident comes at a time when three railway employees were arrested in Surat district on Monday for allegedly trying to tamper with the track.
