Nupur Sharma News: Supreme Court refuses to hear Nupur Sharma’s plea for arrest

New Delhi: The Supreme Court refused to hear the petition filed for the arrest of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in the case of objectionable remarks against Mohammad Saheb. Thereafter the petitioner withdrew the application. On July 19, the Supreme Court had stayed the punitive action in all the cases registered in many states across the country in the objectionable remarks of Nupur Sharma against Mohammad Saheb. The petitioner filed an application in the Supreme Court and said that Nupur should be arrested in this case.

Chief Justice of the Supreme Court UU Lalit refused to hear the petition. When the Chief Justice refused to hear this petition filed under Article-32, the petitioner said that the decision given by the Supreme Court in the case of mob lynching should be implemented. Seeing the stand of the Chief Justice, the petitioner pleaded for withdrawal of the case and the court, while allowing it, dismissed the application.
