The Delhi government has started the trial of Mohalla buses on two new routes. Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said – Through Mohalla buses, we are connecting all the important places at the local level with public transport, so that first and last mile connectivity can be ensured. We are giving convenient travel options to Delhiites by improving last-mile connectivity, so that people prefer public transport more and more instead of private vehicles.
Buses will run on these routes
Mohalla buses will run from Kailash Colony Metro Station to PNB Geetanjali and from Lok Kalyan Marg Metro Station to Vasant Vihar for 7 days.
How much fare, what facilities are available for women?
The fare in Mohalla buses will be same as that of Delhi Government’s AC buses. The fare will be Rs. 10, 15, 20 and 25. Women can avail free travel in these buses through pink pass.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said – We have also included major educational institutions like Motilal Nehru College, Jesus and Mary College, Maitreyi College, Sri Venkateswara College, LSR College, Central School and Vocational College as stops in the trial of Mohalla buses to meet the transportation needs of the residents living nearby as well as youth and students.
Attention was given to Greater Kailash and Malviya Nagar
Meanwhile, Delhi government minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the people of Greater Kailash Part 1 and Malviya Nagar had demanded that small buses be started for them. Today, Mohalla buses have been started here. This will be a very good bus service. Let us tell you that Saurabh Bhardwaj is an MLA from Greater Kailash.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said- This bus service will go from Kailash Colony Metro Station via Lady Shriram College, GK 1 N Block, M Block Market, GK-1 E Block and Pumpos to GK Metro Station, opposite GK 2, Chirag Delhi, Sheikh Sarai, Vocational Press Enclave to Geetanjali Bus Depot in Malviya Nagar. Its route includes many metro stations, Saket Mall, three big markets, big hospitals like PSRI and Max.
