Free Aadhaar Update: If there is something wrong with your Aadhaar card and you want to correct it, then you can do this work for free till September 14. After this date, you will be charged for updating Aadhaar. According to UIDAI’s notification, the last date for updating Aadhaar for free is September 14, 2024.

The time limit for free Aadhaar update applies only to online updates. If you update your Aadhaar by visiting the Aadhaar center, you will be charged Rs 50 for this. According to the report of News9Live, after September 14, 2024, you will be charged Rs 25 for every detail for online Aadhaar update.

This is the way to update Aadhaar for FREE

• First of all you have to visit UIDAI website uidai.gov.in.
• After clicking on ‘My Aadhaar’ here, click on ‘Update Your Aadhaar’ from the drop-down menu.
• After entering the Aadhaar number and captcha verification code, you will have to click on ‘Send OTP’.
• Now login using the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
• On the page, you will find your demographic details which you can change and will have to upload copies of the relevant documents before clicking on ‘Submit Update Request’.
• After this, you will receive the Update Request Number (URN) through SMS, so that you can track the status of the request.
