The pager blast in Lebanon could be the beginning of a ‘new phase of war’. Israel has given such indications. It is reported that about 3000 people were injured in the blast and 12 people died. However, Hezbollah is continuously talking about retaliation after this incident. Here, a day after the pager blast, electronic equipment exploded in many parts on Wednesday as well. 14 people died in this incident.
According to media reports, on Wednesday, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Galant said that Israel is entering a ‘new phase’ of the war. He said, ‘We are starting a new phase of the war. For this, courage, determination and perseverance are necessary.’ Meanwhile, Israel’s army chief Herzi Halevi has also given big hints. He said that they have many ‘capabilities’ which they have not used till now.
According to reports, while talking to Reuters, he said, “We will make further plans in phases. In every phase, the price to be paid by Hezbollah will increase.”
Now the walkie talkie is torn
Walkie-talkies exploded on Wednesday, a day after the pager blast. About 14 people died in this incident. The special thing is that these devices were used by Hezbollah members. Lebanon’s internal security forces said that on Tuesday there were blasts in communication equipment at many places in the country. Hezbollah leadership alleges that there was tampering from Israel’s side.
Who made the pagers?
The pagers that exploded in Lebanon and Syria, possibly as part of an Israeli attack aimed at Hezbollah’s communications network, were manufactured by a Hungarian company headquartered in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
According to a statement issued by Taiwanese company Gold Apollo on Wednesday, the AR-924 pager was manufactured by BAC Consulting Kft., which is based in the Hungarian capital. “According to the cooperation agreement, we gave BAC the right to use our brand trademark for the sale of the product in the specified territories (Lebanon and Syria), but BAC alone is responsible for the manufacture of the product,” the statement said.
