Senior Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh, Trinamool Congress’s Sudip Bandopadhyay and Derek O’Brien, DMK’s Kanimozhi, Samajwadi Party’s Ram Gopal Yadav, Shiv Sena’s (Uddhav Thackeray) Sanjay Raut and Sanjay Raut of the Trinamool Congress were present at the meeting held in the chamber of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. Leaders of some other parties were present.

Sources say that in this session, opposition parties can surround the government on Adani case, China, inflation, unemployment, issues related to economy, center-state relations etc. The budget session of Parliament has started from Tuesday. The first part of the session will be till 13 February. There will be no action of the House from February 14 to March 12 and during this time the parliamentary standing committees related to the departments will review the demands for grants and prepare reports related to their ministries and departments. The second part of the budget session will start from March 13 and continue till April 6.
