New Delhi. The passenger who had to fly to Patna reached Udaipur by Indigo Airlines. In connection with this incident, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an inquiry. This incident has been reported from Delhi airport. According to information, a passenger named Afsar Hussain had to board a flight from Delhi airport to Patna and he boarded an Indigo Airlines flight that was going to Udaipur. After landing at Udaipur airport, Officer Hussain informed the officials about the incident. After this there was a stir and the airlines brought him back to Delhi on the same day and on 31 January he was sent to Patna.
The DGCA official said that orders have been given to investigate the entire matter. Action will be taken after getting the information and finding out the error and action will also be taken against the airline as to how a passenger boarded the wrong flight? Afsar Hussain was supposed to board flight number 6E-214 from Delhi, but by mistake boarded 6E-319, which was flying to Udaipur. Although the official says that the passenger does not board the flight directly. First security check (passing through the screening point of identity proof and ticket check etc.) he reaches the boarding. Here the boarding pass is checked. Here it is checked that the passenger is boarding the correct flight. This boarding pass It is checked twice. The DGCA official said, “We are probing where the mistake happened? Why the boarding pass could not be scanned?”
Indigo said – we are thoroughly investigating the incident
Indigo Airlines has issued a statement saying that we regret the incident of the passenger reaching Udaipur. The incident happened with a passenger on 6E319 Delhi-Udaipur flight. We are doing a thorough investigation in this regard and are discussing it with the concerned authority. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the passengers. Significantly, this is the second such incident in Indigo Airlines flight in the last 20 days. Earlier on January 13, another passenger who had an airline ticket and a boarding pass for a flight to Indore had boarded the wrong flight and reached Nagpur.
