Pathankot terror attack accused declared terrorist by central government, third name in five days

New DelhiThe Central Government has declared Ali Kashif Jan, the Pakistani master who carried out the 2016 Pathankot Terrorist Attack, as a terrorist. Jaan alias Jaan Ali Kashif is the third terrorist who has been declared a terrorist by the central government in the last five days.

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHFW) in a notification said that Ali Kashif was the mastermind of the January 2016 terror attack on the Pathankot Air Force Station in which seven security personnel and a civilian lost their lives. Kashif Jan is also accused in various cases registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and under its ambit. He was declared a fugitive in these cases.

The Home Ministry said that Jaan continues to operate from the launching pad of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pakistan and has been continuously involved in recruiting terrorists to plan attacks in India.
