In a Facebook post, Naidu said, “Those criticizing Veer Savarkar should first know about his contribution and selfless sacrifice in the freedom struggle, before trying to tarnish his reputation.” The former Vice President’s remarks came amid a political row over Congress leader Rahul Gandhi using Savarkar’s name to target the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
