PFI case: NIA detains 4, incriminating documents and cash recovered

New Delhi : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday detained four persons after conducting searches at several places in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in connection with a case registered by the Telangana Police against Popular Front of India (PFI) activists in Nizamabad.

“During searches conducted today, incriminating material including digital equipment, documents, two daggers, Rs 8,31,500 in cash have been seized,” the official said. Further investigation is on in the matter.

The case was initially registered on July 4 at Nizamabad police station in Telangana. During investigation by the state police, four accused Abdul Kader, Sheikh Sahadullah, Mohd Imran and Mohd Abdul Mobin were arrested by the Telangana Police. Later the NIA registered the case again on 26 August.
