Actually, the 701 km long Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway is being built at a cost of about Rs 55,000 crore. It is one of the longest expressways in India, which passes through 10 districts of Maharashtra and major urban areas of Amravati, Aurangabad and Nashik. It is claimed that this expressway will help in improving the connectivity of 14 other nearby districts. Thus will help in the development of about 24 districts of the state including areas of Vidarbha, Marathwada and North Maharashtra.
