This resulted in the death of 63 cattle. One person died due to hail. This death occurred due to hailstorm on March 19 and 20 in Chhattisgarh.
Normal rainfall forecast in April
Most parts of the country are likely to have above normal temperatures in April. Temperatures may remain below normal in some parts of Peninsula, Northeast and Northwest India. The minimum temperature will be normal or below normal in most parts of the country. Above normal heat is likely over Northwest India, Central India and East India. There will be normal rains across the country in April. Most parts of northwest, central and peninsular India will receive normal or above rainfall. On the other hand, rains will be less in East, Northeast India and parts of West Coast.
Suspicion of weak monsoon
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the condition of the weather phenomenon ‘La Nina’, the process of cooling the water of the Pacific Ocean in South America has weakened. That is, La Nina conditions have weakened, which is a good sign for the monsoon. According to the model, there will be a neutral position from April to June. Due to this, El Nino conditions may prevail between July and September. In El Nino, the waters of the Pacific Ocean warm and weaken the monsoon.
