Pleasant weather in Delhi-NCR, heavy rains in 4 states, severe heat wave in Bihar-Bengal

New Delhi. There will be respite from the heat in Delhi-NCR even today and the weather is going to be pleasant. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi will be generally cloudy on June 5 and there may be light rain or drizzle. Today the maximum temperature in Delhi can remain up to 35 degree Celsius. On May 4, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7°C, which was 6°C below normal. During the last 24 hours, 3 mm of rain was recorded in Delhi.

IMD has warned of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Karaikal as well as Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. Whereas in Bihar, Bengal, Sikkim, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, severe heat wave is possible. Along with this, IMD has expressed the possibility of worsening weather in many parts of the country in the coming week. According to the India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains at different places in many states of South India. There is a possibility of an increase of 3 to 5 degrees in the temperature in North West India in the next five days.

IMD has predicted heatwave to severe heatwave in different parts of Bihar till June 8. Heatwave conditions are likely to continue in West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast Jharkhand till June 8. Heatwave is also expected in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. Heatwave is expected in Vidarbha from June 6 to June 8 and in East Uttar Pradesh on June 7 and June 8.
