New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched the logo, theme and website of India’s G20 Presidency. This logo was waiting all over the world. The Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday that the logo represents India’s “message and wider priorities” for the world. PM Narendra Modi unveiled the logo of a blooming lotus and its seven petals. On this occasion, he said, ‘The world is going through the after effects of a devastating pandemic, conflict and a lot of economic uncertainty once in a century. The lotus symbol in the G20 logo represents hope in these times.

‘Not just a logo, but a feeling in our veins’
During the launch of India’s G20 Presidency logo, PM Narendra Modi described it as a message and a feeling in the veins of Indians. This is a resolution, which has been included in our thinking. He said, ‘No matter how adverse the circumstances in the world, the lotus will bloom.’ PM Narendra Modi said that I congratulate the countrymen on the historic occasion of launching the logo of the G20 Presidency of India. ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is a symbol of India’s compassion towards the world. The lotus depicts India’s cultural heritage and belief in bringing the world together.

Significance of Lotus in G20 Emblem
The home ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the lotus is the national flower of India and a prominent feature in Indian mythology. Its inclusion in the logo of the G20 Presidency of India represents Indian culture, spirituality, fruitfulness, wealth and purity of heart and mind. In this logo the lotus flower is depicting the mythological heritage of India, our faith, our intellect. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that ‘the seven petals on the lotus represent the 7 continents of the world and 7 voices of music. This logo of G20 will bring harmony in the world. The lotus flower in this logo is depicting the mythological heritage of India, our faith, our intellect.
