Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished the speedy recovery of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Former Prime Minister Singh was admitted to AIIMS here on Wednesday evening due to feeling weak after developing fever.
PM Modi tweeted, ‘I pray for good health and speedy recovery of Dr. Manmohan Singh ji.’ Earlier, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had gone to meet the former Prime Minister and inquired about his health from the doctors caring for Singh.
Mandaviya tweeted that he met former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at AIIMS, New Delhi and inquired about his health. The Health Minister wished Singh a speedy recovery.
The 89-year-old former prime minister was admitted to the private ward of the Cardio-Neuro Center of AIIMS on Wednesday and is under the care of a team of cardiologists led by Dr Nitish Naik, the doctor said.
Singh had developed fever on Monday and had recovered from it but he started feeling weak and was able to consume only liquids.
