Under this, Union Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav took stock of the ongoing preparations in Kuno National Park on Sunday. He also saw the fencing flood where cheetahs from Namibia would be kept in quarantine for 30 days.
Union Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change along with Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also took stock of the preparations in view of the arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kuno National Park.
Historic step back 8 cheetahs
During this, CP Goyal, Director General Forest and Special Secretary, Dr SP Yadav, Additional Director General, NTCA and senior officers were also present. On this occasion, Union Minister of Forest, Environment and Climate Change Bhupendra Yadav also interacted with frontline staff, Cheetah Mitra, Young Scientists of Wildlife Institute of India and hundreds of students. He said that the return of cheetahs is a historic step. With this, it will be easy to maintain the environmental balance as well as there will be communication of happiness among the local people.
Various types of birds are present in Kuno National Park.
There are 174 different types of bird species present in the Kuno National Park. Not only this, there are hundreds of species of wildlife and there are 12 species of birds, so they are considered in the rare category. With this, let us tell you that from October 1, Kuno National Park will be opened for tourists. However, the part where the cheetahs will be released will be completely banned.
