PM Modi’s frustration was visible; Congress got angry after Rahul Gandhi was made to sit at the back during the event held at Red Fort

On the occasion of Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi addressed the country from the ramparts of the Red Fort and many dignitaries were also present on this occasion. Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, many ministers of the government and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi were also present at the event. But Congress has objected to Rahul Gandhi being given a back seat in the event. It said on Thursday that making Rahul Gandhi sit at the back showed PM Modi’s frustration. Congress said that making Rahul Gandhi sit at the back shows that the government does not care about democracy and democratic traditions.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate also said that this does not matter to Rahul Gandhi. On the other hand, sources said that all seating arrangements were made according to seniority and this year it was decided that the medal winners of Paris Olympics will be honored as special guests in the Independence Day celebrations. Supriya Shrinate claimed in a statement, ‘It is meaningless to expect big things from small-minded people. Narendra Modi did show his frustration by making the Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi sit in the fifth row in the Independence Day celebrations, but this does not matter to Rahul Gandhi.’

Supriya Shrineta said that the status of the leader of the opposition is that of a cabinet minister, the ministers of the government were sitting in the first row, so these people with a narrow mindset do not care about democracy and democratic traditions. She said that the statement of the Defense Ministry is exposing the government. Supriya said, ‘The truth is that Modi and his ministers avoid eye contact with Rahul Gandhi and become uncomfortable. Whether Rahul Gandhi sits in the fifth row or the fiftieth, he will remain the leader of the people. But when will you people stop doing such dirty acts?’

Congress asked questions to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

Earlier, Congress leader Vivek Tankha shared a picture of Rahul Gandhi sitting at the Independence Day event and posted on ‘X’, “Why is the Defense Ministry behaving so pettily. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi sat in the fourth row in Lok Sabha. The Leader of Opposition is above any cabinet minister. In the Lok Sabha, he is after the Prime Minister.” He said, “Rajnath Singh ji, you cannot allow the national programs of the Defense Ministry to be politicized. This was not expected from you, Rajnath ji.”
