New Delhi. In the India Mobile Congress 2022 at Pragati Maidan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while launching the 5G service, mentioned the difference between 2G and 5G mobile services. He said that this is the difference of intention between 2G and 5G. PM Narendra Modi said that the revolution the country is witnessing in the telecom sector today is proof of the fact that if the government works with the right intention, then it does not take long to change the intentions of the citizens. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this is the difference between the intention of 2G and the intention of 5G.
When 2G mobile service was started in the country, there was a lot of ruckus about the scam. PM Modi was probably pointing towards the same. PM Modi said that in the year 2014 there were 25 crore internet connections, which has now increased to 85 crore internet connections. He said that we have tried to eliminate all the bottlenecks in the telecom sector. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in 2014 the country used to import 100% mobile phones. So we decided to become self-reliant. In 2014 there were 2 mobile manufacturing units, now their number is above 200. PM Modi said that his government encouraged the private sector. Today India ranks second in the world in mobile production. Earlier we used to import mobiles, now we export.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that now more results are being received at less cost. On this occasion, he said that today is the special day of India’s potential in the 21st century. 1st October 2022 is going to be recorded in history. Today 130 crore countrymen are getting wonderful gifts from the telecom industry of the country. This is just the beginning of an eternal beginning of 5G opportunities. He said that with these moments, children from rural schools to laborers are participating in the introduction of 5G. Children in remote areas of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha are connecting through 5G.
