PM Security Lapse: ‘The crime of Punjab government is not pardonable…’ Union Minister Athawale raised the demand for sacking on PM’s security lapse

New Delhi
Union minister and Republican Party of India (A) chief Ramdas Athawale on Saturday said the Congress government in Punjab should be dismissed over the “serious lapse” in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Because he has committed an ‘unpardonable offence’. In a statement, the Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment said, “There has been a colossal lapse by the Punjab Government in the security of Modi ji as well as an unpardonable crime, hence the Punjab Government should be immediately sacked.”

He said, ‘The post of Prime Minister is not the office of any party but the post of honor of the entire country.’

There was an incident of “serious lapse” in the security of Prime Minister Modi, who was visiting Punjab, on Wednesday when some protesters in Ferozepur blocked a road through which they were to pass. Because of this, the Prime Minister was stuck on a flyover for about 20 minutes. After the incident, the Prime Minister returned to Delhi. He neither attended any program in Punjab nor could he address his first rally in the state after two years.

Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab soon.
