To break the gangster-terror network in the country, a big meeting of all the security agencies and state police was held at the Delhi Police Headquarters. Officials from NIA, Special Cell, Rajasthan Police, Punjab Police, Haryana Police participated in the meeting. Delhi Police Special Cell held an inter-state coordination meeting on Wednesday whose aim is to take concrete steps against the organized crime and terror nexus present in the country.
Discussion on organized crime
In this meeting held in Delhi, all the states discussed the challenges they face against organised crime and terror nexus. A detailed discussion was held on how organised crime is operating in which states and union territories.
What did Haryana Police say?
Haryana Police told how new gangs are emerging there and shared information about recent target killings and arrests. Delhi Police shared details about the biggest challenge being faced recently, extortion calls, in which area wise mapping of specific extortion calls and information about the network of extortion calls was shared with neighboring states and NIA.
What did Rajasthan-Punjab Police say?
Rajasthan Police gave information about gangsters living abroad and their associates. Along with this, information was shared about the gangsters against whom Interpol has issued Red Corner Notice (RCN) and Blue Corner Notice (BCN). On the other hand, Punjab Police gave information about the drugs coming from across the border, the suppliers who supply them and the network through which smuggling is taking place.
There was also discussion about Khalistani terror groups
Along with this, information was shared in the meeting about the most important Pakistani terrorists and pro-Khalistani terror groups conspiring against the country. NIA explained how there is a need to work together against organized crime and terror syndicates.
