Chandigarh: A big disclosure has been made in the FIR registered against 7 managers after the clash between the Qaumi Insaf Morcha workers and the police on the Mohali-Chandigarh border (Mohali-Chandigarh Violence) over the release of the captive lions. In the FIR, there has been an allegation of looting of weapons by the protesters. It has been mentioned in the FIR that the protesters have also taken away shields, helmets, weapons and tear gas grenades and other equipment. In its complaint, the police (Punjab Police) have called the protesters Khalistani supporters. On the other hand, even on Thursday, Quami Morcha workers will march towards the CM’s residence. In view of this, paramilitary forces have also been deployed to control the situation.
The accused were raising slogans of Khalistan
It has been said in the complaint that the protesters were raising slogans of Khalistan Zindabad. However, the office bearers of Qaumi Insaf Morcha have denied this. The police have booked the protesters for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and damaging public property. About 17 sections have been imposed on the protesters. The FIR registered by the police has made the matter very complicated. The police also claim that the police saved their lives by running away from the armed protesters, if the policemen had not run away, they would have been killed.

More than 40 policemen injured
The clashes had started after the protesters tried to force their way through the barricades to move towards Chandigarh at around 3 pm on Wednesday. The Qaumi Insaf Morcha, which has been sitting on the border since January 7, had given a call three days ago to march towards the Punjab Chief Minister’s residence to press for their demands. Around 1,000 protesters had gathered at the site. Suddenly, the crowd became agitated and tried to force their way following which police used water cannons and mild lathicharge to disperse the crowd. Police claim that a group of armed protesters, some on horseback, attacked the police.
It was told that at least 40 policemen were injured in the clash. After this incident, the police has imposed section 144 on the spot. Heavy police force is deployed in the entire area. The injured policemen have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Many videos of the incident site are also viral on social media.
