Rathore also entering along with Dravid?
Apart from Dravid, RR is also likely to rope in former Indian team batting coach Vikram Rathore. Rathore was part of Dravid’s coaching staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) before becoming India’s batting coach in 2019. It is being told that despite Dravid taking over the responsibility of head coach, former Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara will remain the franchise’s director of cricket. Sangakkara has been in this position since 2021. He will oversee the franchise’s teams in other leagues – Paarl Royals in South Africa 20 and Barbados Royals in CPL.

RR won only one trophy
It is worth noting that RR won the trophy of the first season of IPL in 2008 under the captaincy of Shane Warne. Rajasthan has never won the title since then. Under the leadership of Sanju Samson, RR made it to the final of IPL 2022 but the trophy did not come in hand. The franchise had to face defeat by 7 wickets against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final. The Samson Brigade failed to make it to the playoffs in 2023 despite a great start to the season. At the same time, RR was eliminated from Qualifier-2 in 2024.
