After 31 years, worship and darshan started in the basement of Vyas ji present in the Gyanvapi complex of Kashi. On Wednesday, the District Judge of Varanasi ordered the administration to make arrangements for worship in the basement within seven days and to remove the barricades installed on the way. The administration complied with the order within a few hours. At 12 o’clock in the night the basement was opened, the surrounding barricades were removed, the iron mesh that had been installed was cut, the basement was cleaned with Ganga water, purification was done. Ganeshwar Shastri was also appointed as a priest in the basement by the Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust and at 3.30, five priests worshiped the idols in the presence of the Varanasi Commissioner, DM and Police.
After 31 years, bells, gongs and conch shells rang in Vyas ji’s basement. During the puja that lasted for about one and a half hour, Jitendra Vyas and his sons of the Vyas family, who had been worshiping in this basement for generations, were also present. Mangala Aarti took place in the basement of Vyas ji at 3:30 in the night, at that time only selected people were allowed to go inside, but as soon as people got the news that the puja was being held in the basement of Vyas ji, a large number of people gathered there in the night itself. reached. These people were not allowed inside but the devotees saw the Vyas basement while standing in the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex. The people from the Muslim side did not expect that the basement would be opened in the night itself, but as soon as the people of Gyanvapi Masjid Arrangement Committee got the news of this, they immediately came into action. There was panic from Varanasi to Delhi. The lawyers of the Muslim side ran towards the Supreme Court at 3 o’clock in the night, told the registrar of the court that the matter is serious, hence the appeal has to be made right now. Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud held the hearing at 4.30 in the morning and directed the Muslim side to appeal in the High Court. On Friday, Allahabad High Court refused to grant stay on basement puja. This issue will now be heard again on Monday.
Muslim party Mukhtar said that justice was not done in this case. He questioned that the cases of the Muslim side related to Gyanvapi are being put on hold and the verdict is being given immediately in the cases of the Hindu side and the administration is also showing such haste that they are not even getting a chance to appeal. An emergency meeting of Maulanas and leaders of various Muslim organizations was held in the office of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind in Delhi on Thursday. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Maulana Arshad Madani, Mahmood Madani, besides representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Muslim Personal Law Board and Jamaat-e-Ahle Hadith were present in the meeting. AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi also reached the meeting. It was decided that the matter would be taken to the Supreme Court. On the other hand, Maulana Tauqeer Raza said a sharp thing. He alleged that the courts are giving decisions under pressure from the government. Tauqeer Raza said that now he is afraid that the Muslim youth may go out of the control of the Ulemas, after that the situation in the country will be terrible and he does not want this at all.
The matter of Gyanvapi is very delicate. It is true that puja was held in the basement of Vyas ji till 1993. It is also true that the court has restored the same tradition. This is the decision of the court, it is not the decision of any political party or government. There is no harm in the puja starting, but despite all this being fine, it is important to deal with this matter very wisely. Because people of Muslim community will look at it with suspicion. There are many elements who will say, first they took Babri Masjid, now they will capture Gyanvapi Masjid. There are many elements which will make the court’s decision the decision of PM Modi and CM Yogi. Will repeatedly tell people that it was the last working day of the District Judge, he was going to retire the next day, hence a wrong decision was given. Someone will try to instigate the Muslim youth, and we have seen that some people have even started saying that now it will be difficult to stop the Muslim youth. I feel that such statements should be avoided and social harmony should be prevented from deteriorating under any circumstances. People from the Hindu side, saints and enlightened people of the society should remember what Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said after the consecration of Ram Lalla. PM Modi had said that this is not the time of victory, but of humility. Hindu society should also remember the words of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. Mohan Bhagwat had said in the Dussehra rally last year that it is not right to find Shivling in every mosque. Because no matter how correct your claim is, no matter how justified it is, no matter how many emotions are associated with it, there is a need to understand the sensitivities of the Muslim society and the leaders of Muslim organizations should also take care of social harmony before speaking.
