Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the election results of Haryana reflect the mood of the country. Modi said that Congress’s agenda is to spread hatred and poison, Congress wants to divide Hindus for the sake of votes. The Prime Minister said that Congress hates Sanatan because it seems to be benefiting from votes in it.
Narendra Modi reminded that Gandhiji had said after independence that Congress should end now. Congress has not ended but is now engaged in a conspiracy to destroy the country. Modi’s attack was more severe than yesterday. Modi said that the people of Haryana have shown the mirror to Congress. He said that Congress’s election formula is to scare Muslims and divide Hindus.
Modi said that Congress does not talk about Muslim castes because there is a danger of disintegrating its vote bank but divides Hindus into castes because Congress is afraid of the unity of Hindus. Modi said that Congress has become a casteist and communal party that poisons the society and the country is now understanding this.
Once again the old sound was visible in Modi’s attitude, Modi’s voice and Modi’s style. It seemed as if Modi’s confidence was now at a high. Modi today answered every question that was raised after getting less seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Modi expressed that neither Modi’s popularity has decreased, nor has the mood of the country changed, nor has Congress been able to stop BJP from winning.
The second part of Modi’s speech today was to tell people that Congress divides Hindus among themselves to get votes of Muslims. This was in the context of division of Hindu votes among castes in the Lok Sabha elections, but today it seemed that now Modi is confident that the wooden pot does not boil again and again. In Haryana, BJP got votes from all sections and this has awakened a new confidence in BJP and the confidence of the anti-Modi front has been shaken.
Its effect is being seen in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. In Maharashtra, Congress was staking claim on more seats on the basis of Lok Sabha election results, but the Haryana election results changed the situation. The bargaining power of Congress has ended. Now Uddhav Thackeray is pressurizing that he should be declared a contender for the post of Chief Minister on behalf of Mahavikas Aghadi and elections should be fought under his leadership.
In UP, Akhilesh Yadav unilaterally announced his candidates for 6 seats in 10 assembly by-elections. Akhilesh Yadav had understood this at the time of Lok Sabha elections that in Uttar Pradesh, Congress has benefited more from the alliance than Samajwadi Party. In Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, Congress did not give even a single seat to Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav wanted to answer Congress, he was waiting for the right opportunity. The election results of Haryana gave the opportunity and Akhilesh grabbed it.
In Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party has announced that there will be no alliance in the assembly elections. Well, the reality is that Arvind Kejriwal wanted to establish a foothold in Haryana with the help of Congress but Congress felt that the wind was in its favor, hence Congress kept Kejriwal hanging till the last moment and refused the alliance at the last moment. Angered Kejriwal fielded candidates on all ninety seats. Kejriwal’s account was not even opened, but Congress’s dream of returning to power was shattered. (Rajat Sharma)
