Rajnath Singh will do a 3-day visit to Egypt from tomorrow, know what it means

Rajnath Singh Egypt Visit: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be on a three-day visit to Egypt from Sunday 18 September. Rajnath Singh himself gave this information through a tweet. He said that he looks forward to discussing with his counterpart General Mohammad Ahmed Zaki to further strengthen the defense cooperation between the two countries. During this, both the ministers will review bilateral defense ties.

It has been told by the Ministry of Defense that during this time Rajnath Singh will explore new initiatives to intensify military-to-military relations and focus on deepening cooperation. Apart from this, both the countries will also sign an agreement to further boost defense cooperation.

Will also meet with the President of Egypt

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during his visit. Let us tell you that earlier in July an important meeting was held between the officials of both the countries in Cairo. In this, the officials of both the countries had agreed to promote bilateral trade. In the meeting, the target was to increase the annual bilateral trade between the two countries from $ 7.26 billion to $ 12 billion in the next five years.

Defense cooperation increased between the two countries

Explain that Egypt is one of the largest investment destinations in India. Presently more than 50 companies of India are working in Egypt, which is creating about 40 thousand jobs. These companies are in agriculture, chemicals, clothing, energy, automotive and other important sectors. As far as the defense sector is concerned, India’s defense cooperation with Egypt has grown significantly in recent decades. The Indian Air Force has also given training to Egyptian pilots. India and Egypt also jointly built the Helen 300 fighter jet plane.
