I am speaking on behalf of all his disciples. His life revolved around cricket in Shivaji Park. His wish would have been to always stay in Shivaji Park. I am very happy with the government’s decision to build a statue of Achrekar Sir at his karmabhoomi.”
Tendulkar’s childhood coach Achrekar passed away in January 2019 at the age of 87. Now the Maharashtra government has decided to build a statue of this great coach in Shivaji Park.
