Bengaluru: A week has passed since the city’s popular restaurant Rameshwaram Cafe blast. After a week, Rameshwaram Cafe was reopened on Friday under strict security. Along with this, strict security arrangements have been made to ensure that no untoward incident happens in future. Let us tell you that 10 people were injured in the explosion that took place in the cafe a week ago. The café reopened at 6pm on Friday, although it will open to the public on Saturday. According to the administration, metal detectors have been installed at the entrance of the cafe to check customers. The cafe staff will check the customers coming here with the help of metal detectors. All customers will be closely monitored and staff will keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
‘Whatever happened should not have happened’
Raghavendra Rao, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO), Rameshwaram Cafe, said, “Whatever happened should not have happened. This is a lesson for us to be strong. No matter what happens, no one can stop us.” He said, ”They (attackers) wanted to teach us a lesson but we will teach them a lesson. With the blessings of Lord Shiva we have reopened our cafe on the occasion of Mahashivratri. We will reopen the restaurant for customers tomorrow with the national anthem playing.” The cafe was decorated with flowers and a morning puja was performed before opening it. Police remained deployed there the whole day. 10 people, including a cafe employee, were injured in the blast on March 1 and all of them are recovering.

Let us tell you that there was a massive bomb blast in Bengaluru’s popular restaurant Rameshwaram Cafe on Friday last week. At least 10 people were injured in this explosion. The injured include restaurant employees and customers. According to Karnataka Police, a customer in the restaurant had left a bag near the hand washing area in which the IED fitted with a timer exploded. Sources said that the suspect holding the bag was wearing a cap and mask to hide his identity. Many CCTV footages of this have also surfaced.
