Rape on the pretext of marriage, married woman cannot claim; Big comment of High Court

Bombay High Court has made a big comment in a case of rape on the pretext of marriage. The High Court said that a married woman cannot accuse any other person of raping her on the pretext of marriage. The single judge bench of Justice Manish Pitale said this while granting bail to a youth from Pune arrested in a rape case.

The court said, first of all, when the woman is already married, she cannot claim that some other person raped her on the promise of marriage. The woman should know that she cannot marry. Even if the accused in a case is married, the case of rape on the pretext of marriage does not prove true.

Let us tell you that a case of rape was registered against a person named Vishal Nagnath Shinde. He himself is married. The woman says that the two first became friends and then Nagnath raped her on the pretext of marriage and threatened to make the video viral. The court said that till now no evidence has been found that Nagnath has any video of him.

Shinde’s lawyer told the court that he is fully assisting the investigation. The court has ordered Shinde that he will have to appear at the police station when called by the police. Apart from this, you will have to submit your mobile phone for testing. The court said, till now it has not been known whether the accused has circulated any video.
