Republic Day 2023: National flag insulted in Barabanki, flag hoisted upside down in LIC office, Video Viral

Barabanki. Today, the 74th Republic Day was celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. But during this time a case of insulting the national flag has come to light in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. The national flag was hoisted upside down at the headquarters of the Life Insurance Corporation of India located here. By hoisting the tricolor upside down, all the officers and employees kept meeting under it, but no one’s attention went towards it and the national flag was not straightened. Till Thursday afternoon, the national flag kept waving in the wind upside down.

Later, when the branch manager was informed about this, he did not pay any attention to it. The common people are deeply hurt by this insult to the tricolor.

The national flag was hoisted on the occasion of Republic Day at the Management Office of Life Insurance Corporation of India in Barabanki city. But those who hoisted it probably did not have the knowledge of the tricolor being upside down and straight. He hoisted the national flag upside down above the office and after singing the national anthem, all the officers and employees were busy sitting under it and having a meeting.

When people saw the national flag hoisted upside down in the air, they made a photo and video of it and made it viral on social media. LIC office manager SK Srivastava was informed about the whole matter, but he did not realize the mistake of hoisting the national flag upside down. Regarding this, the people of the area came up to the main branch of the National Life Insurance Corporation and expressed their protest there.
