Gwalior: Any official festival of the country is incomplete without Gwalior, because in more than half of the states of India, the tricolor made in Gwalior is hoisted. But, making the national flag is not that easy either. A flag is prepared only after passing through many processes. So let us tell you how the tricolor is prepared in Gwalior.
The history of Madhya Bharat Food Association Gwalior is very old and this organization has been preparing the tricolor for the past many years. Let us tell you that Gwalior is the only city in North India, where the tricolor is prepared and sent to more than 16 states. Central India Khadi Union Minister Ramakant Sharma told that the tricolor flag is being manufactured by the organization for a long time.
The institution was established in 1956
Ramakant Sharma said that specially three types of flags are prepared here in the tricolor, which are of size up to 2 by 3, 4 by 6. About 10 to 12 thousand Khadi flags are prepared here in a year. Told that this center was established in 1925. After this, this commission was formed in 1956. Designing a national flag is not an easy task. A lot of hard work has to be done for this. The selection of cotton and cloth is most important.
Tricolor is prepared after passing through 15 tests
Neelu, the manager of the flag making unit, told that a flag is prepared after more than 15 tests. For this, cotton has to be selected first, after which the cloth is prepared. After that the thickness of that cloth is measured. The fabric is also weighed. In this way, after passing through about 15 processes, a flag is prepared. This is the reason why it takes a long time to prepare the flag. Many rules have to be observed while making the national flag, such as the color of the cloth, Ashok Chakra and other rules have to be followed.
